Departure in the morning from Stockholm Central Station. We travel in the Railway Museum’s first-class carriages from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Our first stop will be a visit to the Railway Museum in Gävle, where we also have lunch. Dinner is cooked on the train and served in the restaurant carriage. Arrival in Östersund in the evening. On the second morning of the journey, the steam locomotive awaits at Östersund Central Station to take us on a historic journey to Hoting. After switching locomotives, the train continues north along Inlandsbanan to Arvidsjaur. Lunch and dinner is served on the train. Arrival in Arvidsjaur in the evening. In the morning, the bus picks us up outside the hotel and takes us on a full-day excursion to Arjeplog, where lunch and several cultural experiences await. Dinner is served at the hotel in Arvidsjaur. Accommodation at Hotell Laponia.
Departure in the morning from Arvidsjaur station. We continue the journey towards the northernmost point of Inlandsbanan Gällivare. We have selected stops along the way, such as The Navvy Museum in Moskosel and the Arctic Circle. Lunch is served on the train. Arrival in Gällivare in late afternoon. Walpurgis dinner in Gällivare. Finally, a well-deserved sleep-in! Just before lunch, the train departs for Abisko. Lunch is served on the train. In Abisko, you can choose a guided hike or time to explore Abisko on your own. Take the opportunity to hike part of the Kungsleden along the beautiful Canyon, admire Lake Torneträsk, and the famous U-shaped Čuonjávággi valley. In the afternoon, the train continues up to Kiruna. Dinner is served onboard the train. You will arrive in Kiruna in the evening. Accommodation at Scandic Kiruna.
Half-day in Kiruna. Choose between a guided tour of the LKAB underground mine in Kiruna, followed by lunch at SPILL restaurant, or a bus excursion to Jukkasjärvi where you will see the Icehotel exhibitions and have lunch and see Sami handicrafts at Nutti Sámi Siida. In the afternoon, we take the train to Luleå. Dinner is served on the train. We arrive in Luleå in the evening. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Sense.
Half day in Luleå. Choose between a bus excursion to: the UNESCO World Heritage site Gammelstad Church Town or the mill village Karlsvik and Norrbotten Railway Museum. At lunchtime, the train takes us to Örnsköldsvik. Lunch and dinner is served on the train. Arrival in Örnsköldsvik in the evening. Accommodation at Elite Plaza Hotel.
