Follow us on an unforgettable nature photography journey to Abisko! Together with Serkan Günes, you’ll explore and photograph some of Sweden’s most breathtaking views. Serkan has previously held several photography courses in Abisko during the autumn. Now, take the chance to join us on this multi-day photography course in early summer in the land of the midnight sun!
During the days in Abisko, Serkan will provide personalized photography guidance. He will take you to his favorite photography spots in the area when the photography light are its absolute best. The course also includes photo editing and discussions about the images you take during the course.

A unique journey along Inlandsbanan
Your adventure begins in Östersund by the shores of Storsjön. Here, you’ll board the train and start your journey along the historic Inlandsbanan. With panoramic views from your seat and comfort onboard, the travel itself becomes part of the adventure. You’ll arrive in Gällivare late in the evening and get to walk to your hotel under the light of the midnight sun. The next morning, you’ll board the train and travel along the Iron Ore Line to Abisko, where a 4-day photography course awaits with Serkan Günes.

Who is this for? Landscape and nature photographers. To get the most out of the trip, we recommend having some photography experience. This journey is designed to inspire and enhance your creativity. In addition to photography exercises, you’ll have time to enjoy the serene nature and unique atmosphere of Lapland.

Price: SEK 25,795 per person (in shared double room). Single room supplement: SEK 1,695.
Included in the price:
- Train journey along Inlandsbanan Östersund–Gällivare, including seat reservation
- 4-day photography course with Serkan Günes
- 1 night at Grand Hotel Lapland in Gällivare (in shared double room with private bathroom, including breakfast)
- 3 nights at STF Abisko Tourist Station (in shared double room with private bathroom, including breakfast)
- Lunch on day 2–5 in Abisko
- 1-course dinner on day 2–3 in Abisko
- 3-course dinner on day 4 in Abisko
Note: This is not a group trip with a tour guide, and a minimum number of participants is required for the trip to proceed.
Equipment
Bring the following photo equipment:
- Your digital camera
- A telephoto zoom lens up to 200 mm
- A wide-angle lens, at least 24 mm
- A tripod
- A computer with Photoshop or Lightroom
- Extra batteries, chargers, etc.
- A camera bag that can also carry snacks and extra clothing
- A thermos for coffee/tea
Transport
The trip starts in Östersund, which can be reached by train, bus, or flight. The journey ends at the Abisko Tourist Station, and the course will end in time for you to take the night train from there. If you prefer to fly home, airports are available in both Kiruna and Gällivare.
Our qualified train guides
Our committed train guides will be on hand during your journey on the Inlandsbanan train. They will help you find your way around, take your food and coffee orders and deal with any practical requests as far as possible. The train hosts are knowledgeable and can tell you about places, sights and the scenery along the railway. They do not accompany you to your accommodation or on excursions, but they are always there for you on board the train.
