Bodø, designated as Europe’s Cultural Capital in 2024, offers incredible natural beauty and exciting activities. Here are our recommendations:
-Book a boat tour to Saltstraumen, one of the world’s strongest tidal currents. It’s perfect for nature lovers and photography.
-Rent a car and take a day trip to Kjerringøy, a beautiful, historic trading post.
-Walk to the Norwegian Aviation Museum (about 2.2 km from the hotel): A must for aviation enthusiasts, with exhibits covering both civil and military aviation history.
-Take the ferry to Lofoten and Moskenes (about a 3.5-hour one-way journey). The ferry ride itself is an experience, and we recommend booking your ticket in advance. From Moskenes, you can take a bus to Reine (15 minutes) and hike up the famous Reinebringen.
